Cape South Country Estate and Wellness Retreat hosts Kate & Cam McLeay are delighted to open the doors, for a one-off, especially for you, FAWC event.

Programme:
10:00 – 10:30 Welcome tonic and property tour.
10:30 – 12:00
Prior to the event you will be asked to select one activity prior to lunch
a. Put on your walking boots and join Cam for a guided trek to the trig. A high point to happiness across private land to enjoy the stunning coastline views of the edge of NZ OR
b. Head to the yoga studio for a gentle yoga flow class, breathing session and yoga nidra guided relaxation with Kate McLeay OR
c. Make yourself at home and enjoy the facilities. Swim in the mineral pool, use the gym, take a spa, enjoy the benefits of the infrared sauna or relax in one of the multitude of spaces around the property.

12:00 – 2:00 Enjoy a 5 course “trust the chef” plant based Wellness Menu created by legend guest chef Katie MacDiarmid.

2:00 – 4:00 pm You will be asked to select one activity:
a. Get on your mountain bike and join Cam for a cross farm ride to the beach and back again. Suitable only for competent grade 3 or above mountain bike riders. Bring your own mountain bike or let us arrange hire for you (bike hire at an additional cost and subject to availability) OR
b. Join Kate and Katie for a Mindfulness and plant based Cooking workshop and Q & A. You will learn the basics of mindfulness with a specific focus on Mindful eating. Katie will share some basics on plant based cooking including what it is like to live on a plant based diet and kitchen equipment for success in a plant based kitchen. Katie will then demonstrate how to make your own quick and easy raw chocolate and explain the benefits of cacao OR
c. Make yourself at home and enjoy the facilities. Swim in the mineral pool, use the gym, take a spa, enjoy the benefits of the infrared sauna or relax in one of the multitude of spaces around the property.
Join us for a five-course, plant-based Wellness Menu created by guest chef Katie MacDiarmid. Wrapped around the lunch is the opportunity to choose from a sample selection of retreat offerings and design your own day retreat.
In the morning, choose from either a guided trek, gentle yoga class, breathing session and yoga nidra or simply enjoy the retreat’s facilities, which include a mineral pool, gym, infrared sauna and spa.
After lunch, guests can take a mountain bike ride to across farmlands to Waimarama Beach, join Kate and Katie for a mindfulness and plant-based cooking workshop, with a specific focus on mindful eating, or again, simply enjoy this picturesque property.

Cape South is a luxury retreat located just eight minutes from Waimarama Beach, 20 minutes from Havelock North or 40 minutes from Napier Airport.
The gracious eight-bedroom and ensuite, French colonial style homestead and cottage is situated on 16 acres of grounds and gardens.

F.A.W.C! is a series of exceptional food and wine experiences set in stunning locations in Hawke’s Bay. Running twice a year, F.A.W.C! is a chance to get up close and personal with chefs and food producers, wine makers and the clever people that make up the New Zealand food and wine scene. F.A.W.C!
