Several times a year NCC bring inspiring business speakers to the Napier Conference Centre. The format begins with a light 7am breakfast before the event’s speaker takes the stage at 7.30am. Presentations are approximately one hour concluding with a Q&A session.
The Business Breakfast Series is organised by Napier City Council and events are offered to the business community of Hawke’s Bay quarterly. We encourage businesses large and small to attend and to learn from the range of inspiring business leaders who speak and lead discussion on a variety of topics.

Our next business breakfast is planned for Friday 7 September and Sonya Williams will be joining us from Sharesies.
When it comes to having a strong purpose, Sharesies certainly has one says co-founder, Sonya Williams.
Sharesies believes everyone should have the opportunity to grow their wealth – whether they have $5 or $500,000 to invest. So the company built an online investment platform that makes it super easy and accessible to trade on the share market.
The Sharesies team took an idea to do something radical in the share trading space and created a business that now has 20,000 investors in just over one year and continues to grow at a face pace.
At the breakfast she’ll talk about how they identified a gap in the market, assessed the risk and used the power of digital technology to launch a new business. Knowing your customers is something they've worked hard it and she’ll advocates that you don’t necessarily need a research budget. Finally, she’ll cover de-risking your business and how that’s vital in today’s business environment.
Sonya will share some simple low cost strategies that any business can use.
It’s going to be a fast-paced session with loads of transferable business tips.
REGISTRATIONS FOR THIS BREAKFAST HAVE NOW CLOSED.
