We are installing speed cushions and a raised kea crossing between the intersection with Taradale Road and St Patrick’s School as our data shows too many speeding vehicles on the road throughout the day and significantly, too many during school hours.
Traffic management will be in place where required to allow residents access and road users to move safely through the area. Road users are advised to expect delays and take extra care.
The speed cushions are a standard design used nationally with a maximum height of 75mm. We have selected to use speed cushions rather than speed bumps for this project as there is less impact for larger vehicles and buses.
