A summary of the project to upgrade Kennedy Park Resort's ablution block and kitchen.
Project at a glance:
Planning started: April 2018
Construction to begin: April 2020
Cost: $1.75m
Kennedy Park Resort’s vision is to Be a New Zealand leader in visitor accommodation and associated services; and to be renowned for our pursuit of excellence, innovation and experience development.
We need to refurbish the resort’s main ablution block and kitchen, which are currently below reasonable standard. The building framework is 70 years old, and cleaning and operational maintenance has had to increase to maintain visual appeal. If the ablution block and kitchen are not refurbished, Kennedy Park is at risk of losing its 5 Star Qualmark rating; revenue will decrease, and the resort’s reputation will be negatively affected.
This refurbishment aims to maintain Qualmark 5 Star standards; provide an excellent experience to meet customers’ expectations; cap or reduce energy consumption; save on maintenance costs due to modern facilities; and maintain an excellent reputation.
