Essex St Reserve playground upgrade

We are upgrading this playground on this Tamatea reserve to one which suits all ages and abilities, as well as promote play and physical activity in our parks.

We are upgrading this playground on this Tamatea reserve to one which suits all ages and abilities, as well as promote play and physical activity in our parks.

The general layout has been designed in-house by Napier City Council. Playco Equipment Ltd is providing the equipment, which includes accessible equipment.

The new playground includes:

  • New swings
  • Two in-ground trampolines
  • A carousel
  • Climbing net
  • A play fort with slides.

We are keeping the existing picnic table and shade sail, and will be installing another, on the opposite side, facing the new playground. A basketball play area and pathway suitable for walking or scootering completes our plans.

Landscaping will be carried out a little later in the year.

Completed.

Construction budget:

$250,000.
