Council’s Chlorine Free Review Consultants are collaborating with the peer review team to work through the findings in the draft document. The teams are working across four different countries and are bringing a very high level of expertise to the review, identifying the complexities around providing a safe chlorine free network and the likely costs to implement the improvements.
A review is underway involving a range of local and international consultants to look at two main options for our community.
The future options for Napier’s water supply are outlined in an assessment report which is in the process of being peer reviewed by internal staff and independent consultants. Once the document is finalised, and this is expected to take place early next year, it will be presented to Council, after which a consultation process with the community will begin, as part of the Long Term Plan process.
