New to Napier
If you are new to Napier from elsewhere in New Zealand or from another country, there is a lot to learn about your new city. You might need to find a doctor, where the nearest supermarket is, or maybe you want to get to know people.
The newcomers guide is a popular booklet with a lot of practical information for people who have recently moved to Hawke’s Bay, or are interested in moving here. You can download a PDF version in the documents section below.
Face to Face Assistance
If you've moved from another country and would like to talk to someone who can help you with questions about pretty much everything, then visit Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). It's a free service ran by volunteers with expertise across a range of areas - if they don't know the answer themselves, they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
Newcomers Lunch Group Hawke's Bay
If you'd like to meet other people who have moved to the Bay, then pop along to the Newcomers Lunch Group. The Group, who organise lunches every second Wednesday, have been bringing together new Napierites for several years now. To find out when the next feast is, download the Newcomers Lunch flyer in the documents section below.
