Youth Development Fund (YDF)

Napier City Council allocate some funding each year for YCON to distribute as awards to Napier youth. The awards help young people to achieve their goals and dreams.

The awards are presented by the Mayor of Napier at a special ceremony run by YCON.

Who can apply?

Anyone between the ages of 12 and 24, living in Napier, who is involved in a project or activity that promotes their personal development and would like funding.

What to do:

Fill out the form and attach a letter telling us why you need a grant to help you reach your goals or dream.

The Youth Council of Napier (YCON) want to help young people in our community ensure they can make the most of every opportunity and to support them in achieving their dreams and goals.

Jess Dean To represent New Zealand for squash.
Kaya Shlomi To compete at the NZ Slalom Secondary Schools and NZ Slalom Nationals
Charlotte Collins To work at Compasio and Hope House Children's Home in Thailand
Ella Forbes To participate in the Youth to Everest programme.
Tessa Campbell To participate in the Spirit of Adventure volunteers voyage
Aimee Clark To volunteer with GVN in Thailand and teach English in the local school
