A new interactive PDF to help parents, caregivers and their teenagers 'get' each other is now available. Right here!
Concise, generous and packed with practical tips, Tools for the Teenage Years is a great resource and can help parents and teenagers better understand each other.
Tools for the Teenage Years is designed to provide Hawke's Bay parents with advice, ideas and inspiration on how to wrangle their teenagers. It also has an important secondary audience of the teenagers themselves who can study the tools and use the 'insider information' to outwit their parents and stay a step ahead.
A short, snappy guide that brings all the information together in one resource. A great place to start for anyone trying to understand teenagers... and work stuff out with them.
This booklet - attached at the top of the page - includes such topics as cyber safety, safe partying, careers and relationships. There's also a resources section that has a tonne of agencies and websites that can help parents navigate these years with their teen.
While similar booklets have been produced by other councils and district health boards throughout New Zealand, this is the only one that focuses on that wonderful, deeply mysterious (and occasionally maddening) genre - the Hawke’s Bay teen.
