Water Mains Cleaning

Our Water Mains Cleaning Programme is back up and running throughout our city suburbs. Foam swabs called pigs will be sent flying through pipes to give them a thorough clean. This work will begin early June and will run through to approximately the end of October, affecting all areas of Napier, including the industrial zones, except Napier Hill.

Letters will be circulated to the residents of the affected streets to notify them of when the work will be conducted in their particular neighbourhood. The work will take place after 9am between Tuesdays and Fridays. 

Here are the streets that will be affected by water mains cleaning for Tuesday 9 August:

  • Georges Drive (from Hyderabad to Kennedy Road)
  • Sanders Avenue
  • Logan Avenue
  • Herrick Street
  • Kennedy Road (odd numbers between Georges Dr and Tom Parker Avenue)
  • Tom Parker Avenue
  • McKenzie Avenue
  • Higgins Street
  • Wilding Avenue
  • Douglas McLean Avenue (between Herrick Street and Kennedy Road)
