There are a plethora of payment options out there for our various facilities and services. This page will help you work out your best payment option. As of June 2021, banks will no longer accept cheques as a form of payment. This means you will no longer be able to pay your rates, dog registrations or parking infringements with a cheque.
If you can't pay your account by the due date, please get in touch. It's better to ask for help than get additional late-payment penalties.
Credit card payments are only available through our website and are available for the following payments:
Currently you can pay using Visa or MasterCard only. Please note that convenience fees apply to these transactions. You will find step by step instructions as you go through the payment process.
Note: Transactions made after 10.30pm New Zealand time will be processed by Napier City Council on the following business day.
To make a payment to the Napier City Council you must access your bill payment details through your own banking system.

We can not accept part payments via internet banking. Infringement notices must be paid in full.

Direct Debit is the quickest way to make sure that your payments are paid on time and that you don't incur any penalties. Once it is setup you can just forget about it.
