With a whopping 26 playgrounds located throughout Napier, every kid has a great outdoor place to play that’s not too far away. Some have old-school swings and slides, and some have just been built for new adventures. But all bring that cackle of kids laughter we all love.
Did you know there are 26 playgrounds in Napier? That means every kid has a great place to play, that’s not too far away!
To ensure they are of a high standard, all play equipment and surrounding safety surfaces are inspected and maintained on a three-weekly cycle. They are expected to conform to the requirements of all current joint New Zealand and Australian safety standards and guidelines.
Anyone with concerns about the safe usage of any play area or who sees damaged equipment is asked to contact the Napier City Council, Services Department.
