There are a variety of ways you can make payments to council, find the payment option that suits you.
By Direct DebitDirect Debit is the quickest way to make sure that your payments are paid on time and that you don't incur any penalties. Once it is setup you can just forget about it.

By Internet BankingTo make a payment to the Napier City Council you must access your bill payment details through your own banking system.

When making a payment you have to make sure you put the correct reference details on it so that we can asign the payment to you. The table below shows you the type of payment and the reference required.

By Credit CardCredit card payments are only available through the website and are only available for the following payments:
Currently you can pay your rates online using Visa or MasterCard only. You will need your rates valuation number. You will find this number in your rates invoice.
A convenience fee of 2.1% per transaction will apply (or minimum of $3.50 per transaction)
Instructions:
At the end you will be given a reference number. Receipts for online payments are not available, however you can either print the screen or note down the details for future reference. Contact the Rates Department if you have any problems.
Note: Transactions made after 10.30pm New Zealand time will be processed by Napier City Council on the following business day.
