Payment of Dog Registration

Example of where to find the owner number and owner name on a dog registration reminder.

Remember to register your dog by 3 months of age and then annually on 1 July.

If you can't pay your dog registration by the due date, ask for the Animal Control Officer at the Council for advice. It is better to ask for help than have to pay additional money in penalties.

Dog Registration Discounts are received by owners who have passed the dog owner licence and for dogs that have gained a dog obedience certificate above puppy level.

There are a variety of ways you can pay your dog registration, find the payment option that suits you.

By Internet Banking

To make a payment to the Napier City Council you must access your bill payment details through your own banking system.

Bank account details for the Napier City Council are:

• Westpac Napier - 030698 0289001 00
• Reference Details Required - Owner Number from your registration form proceeded by DG (DGxxxxxx).

By Post

Please sign and enclose the whole dog registration form and the full payment due in an envelope and post to.

In Person

Come to the Council Civic Building, Hastings Street between 8am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday.

Please remember:

• BRING YOUR DOG REGISTRATION FORM WITH YOU.

You can pay using:

• Cash
• Cheque
• Eftpos

You may have to wait in a queue if you leave paying your dog registration until the last minute.

Defferred Payment

You can setup an automatic payment through a nominated bank account to pay all your registration fees over a specified period. Contact an Animal Control Officer to discuss this and to setup a defferred payment agreement.
