This important function of the Council's economic development work provides:

  • Regular quarterly reports detailing recent trends in key local economic indicators for Napier and the wider Hawke's Bay region. Copies of recent reports are provided below.
  • Two reports each year (March and September) measuring current business confidence. These provide results from formal structured surveys of 200 local businesses across the full range of industry types operating in the area. Recent reports are provided below.
  • An annual economic, industry and employment profile report on the Napier economy.
  • Local and regional economic information/data/results provided in response to public and business sector requests.
  • Statistics New Zealand Census economic data.
  • Hawke's Bay business opportunities register with contact details of regional businesses seeking new market opportunities.
  • Hawke's Bay business database providing business capability information on the region's extensive range of businesses.
  • Employment in Napier.
