Making a Will
A Will enables you to provide for your family and identify how your affairs should be managed after
your death. Anyone over 18 can make a Will. If you have children, a Will is vital.
Before you make a Will
You need to consider what you own, the people who depend on you and who you might want to leave
things to. A Living Will expresses your wishes about your care and welfare before your death. In this Will,
you can decide on your care and treatment in the case of terminal illness or severe dementia.
To make a Will you can contact a lawyer or the Public Trust. Initial generation and ongoing administration
of your Will may vary substantially depending on who you chose to make it with. Find out about initial and
ongoing costs, to yourself and your beneficiaries, before you decide where you will make your will.
