Valuation
The Council's rates are charged based on property values supplied by Quotable Value New Zealand.
Quotable Value New Zealand are contracted by the Council to undertake three yearly rating revaluations. The last
valuations were effective from 1 September 2008.
The 2011 revaluation has been carried out with notices to all owners being mailed out on 10 November 2011.
Objections to rating valuations are also handled by Quotable value New Zealand. The period of objection to these
values will close on 15 December 2011.
The 2011 valuations will be used for rating purposes for the rating year commencing on 1 July 2012.
