The purpose of this Committee is to provide for governance input of Tangata Whenua to the Council decision making process.
Terms of Reference:
To make recommendations to Council on agenda items already included on the Standing Committee agendas.
To make recommendations to the appropriate Standing Committee or Council on any other matters relevant to Council as considered necessary by the Consultative Committee.
Note: Maori Consultative Committee members to attend Council seminars / workshops as appropriate.
Standing Committee Chairpersons could attend Maori Consultative Committee meetings if requested and as appropriate.
