If you are looking for a community, voluntary, social service or leisure group, key contact for a group, list of related groups or a community
programme, then the new community database called 'CommunityINFO Database' is a great place to start!
This database is a searchable collection of contact and descriptive details about organisations/clubs in the Napier region and those
who have Hawke's Bay in their name. It is a great way to find out what organisations/clubs are available and how to contact them.

The CommunityINFO Database is a free information service administered by Napier Public Libraries on behalf of the Napier
City Council.
The CommunityINFO Database is an ever evolving project. Currently it includes Social Services, Health, Education, Youth, Elderly,
Maori, Arts, Leisure and Sports.
(NB: This database does not cover Hastings. The Hastings District Council has a Community Directory on it's website)

Disclaimer: The NCC reserves the right to edit and/or not accept any details/changes received from new applicants and existing entries for the
CommunityINFO Database which do not fit the following criteria:
- The service must be of a social services/community-oriented nature
- The service is regarded by NCC as suitable to be displayed on the database
- The information given must be factual in its description
The NCC will endeavour to alter, replace and add information received for the database at its earliest convenience. NCC takes every
care when entering the details, however cannot accept any responsibility for incorrect information either received and/or entered.
Category Classifications
- Arts - Literature, Preforming Arts, Visual Arts, Crafts, Cultural Heritage, Arts or Crafts, related Hobbies.
- Education - Education, Schools, Other Learning Providers, Learning Resources, Students, Adult Education.
- Elderly - The Aged (conventionally regarded as 65+ years old), Old People, Retirement, Accommodation.
- Health - Health, Healthcare Services, Medicine, Nutrition, Allied Health Services.
- Leisure - Games, Recreation, Other Hobbies not Arts or Sports Related.
- Māori - Māori, iwi, tangata whenua.
- Social Services - Social Services, Community Care, Social Work, Social Security.
- Sports - Indoor & Outdoor Sports incl., Physical Education, Outdoor Recreation.
- Youth - Youth, Teens, Children.

Come into the Napier or Taradale Public Libraries or Community Development Department and pick up a CommunityINFO Database card, which tells you all about the
CommunityINFO Database.
